Senior arrested on controlled substance charges

A Wenatchee High School senior could be facing juvenile court charges of delivery and possession of a controlled substance on school grounds after he was arrested Monday.

Police said that WHS security footage showed a second student dropping a baggie containing five liquid-filled pills, which tested positive for marijuana. The student who dropped the baggie identified the suspect as the person who had sold the pills to him.

When the suspect was interviewed by police, seven more similar pills were found on his person. He allegedly admitted to to selling the second student the pills.

The suspect made his first appearance in Chelan County Superior Court Tuesday, and was being held at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center until he was released to his family Tuesday.
